Yesterday I needed another box to store the hst I am making in so its time to make a few more postage stamp blocks so I can empty a box,  Hopefully in a week I will have another 10 blocks.  The to do list this week is to keep making hst's and make the postage stamp blocks.  yes i am a list maker!  I find it keeps me on track most of the time!
here is whats laid out for me to sew together this am....so fun to revisit some of these fabrics, ....after all its all about the fabrics!

I just love having something ready to sew when I come into the sewing room!

I actually sat down at my sewing machine yesterday first time in WEEKS.  I started making HST  just kept cutting and sewing for about 2 hrs.  I hope to do more today of course I need hundreds for the quilt I am thinking about making !

 what an incredible antique quilt !  I am so glad Petra and An included it in their book, Promenade dans un jardin Hollandais, Promenade in a Dutch Garden.

 I just can't say enough nice things about this book, I just LOVE it.  I know I will keep this one on my coffee table too and just look at it a lot for inspiration and to just enjoy studying the fabrics and quilts. The photography, the amazing antique quilts and the mixture of quilt patterns from little quilts to big quilts is a wonderful mix. This is a book that if you love antique quilts and quilts inspired by antique quilts and scrappy quilts is a must have in your library!  Promenade dans un jardin Hollandais by Petra Prins and An Moonen  It was hard to choose which ones to share with you...I don't want to share too many you need to be able to ooohhh and aaaaahhhh over each quilt like I did when you first see them :)

 OMG wouldn't you just love this cradle and quilt :)  I would!  I guess I will have to settle for making the quilt and finding a cradle someday!

 Love this antique quilt and then they made their version in RED!  WOW is all I can say.

 I really love this one too and this one is one I will have to make , love the appliqué in the center and then that border is just beautiful isn't it?  we need more fabric like that in the USA!  I don't normally look at border fabrics or fabrics that could be border fabric but I think that will change now!  Thats what I love about books like this they just make you look at fabrics differently.

 so can't you see one of these with repros too????   I have so many strips cut I could easily make another quilt like I did but this one I think is going to have to be different.  Isn't always fun making the same quilt twice!  then again when you love a quilt maybe making it twice is a good idea!

 true colors here  it is so rich with color and yes the binding really is sewn down and has been folded over the chair for a few months now...

A very good mail day yesterday....it was like Christmas morning !!!!  fabric a card holder and an amazing quilt book and no bills what could better!!!!  thanks friends...

7 more blocks added to my Conversations quilt.  Its really fun to watch the quilt grow.

Here is a picture of the red I spoke about in the last post with the Quaker red by Judie Rothermel a few of you thought it was that fabric.

I had to smile when a few of you said your afraid to use your favorite fabrics up or even cut them up.
Ok, I decided there will be another favorite fabric down the road we need to use these fabrics we love and enjoy them when we see them in quilts!
I don't think I will be able to make each block in the Conversations quilt from different reds and greens so if I have to use the reds twice I will be using this one again!!!!
I will cut a strip out for my postage stamp quilt and a few other quilts I am working on.  I am going to use it up and be happy when I see it in my quilts...how about you, will you use that favorite fabric up?

I still have not started another project , still plugging along with working on the projects on my list.
yes I am a list maker  BUT after seeing Nancy's post on her Sally Post quilt......I may just have to start this one too.  I have seen quite a few people in blogland making this quilt but seeing Nancy's and her using my favorite green ahhhh  the quilt spoke to me again.  Does it count as started since I printed out all the patterns?  LOL

 Two of my favorite fabrics and the last pieces I have left of these fabrics.  I will use them today in my conversations quilt....

 No idea whose red fabric that is , wish I knew and wish I had a few more yards of both of these fabrics...just beautiful...don't you agree?   I find it hard to use up my favorite fabrics don't you?  I was tempted not even to use these two but I have to in this quilt.

 Many of you emailed me to ask how do I store rows of the tumbler quilt to sew together at a later date...here they are piled up neatly and labeled  (key tip here!) in my storage box for  projects in the works...

 I lay sheets of paper in between the layers just to keep them neat.

My favorite storage boxes.....  you can buy these at quilt shops/Michaels....hope this answers that question, it is what works for me!
